The food hunter is on the road!!!
So our venue today is GI since Gi has a lot of new restaurant opening there. (well actually I want to try the Coco Curry, since they were my fav curry restaurant in Japan and Beijing XD but since Mimitsu isn't that fond of curry rice, so we opted for something else)
Our pick for today was Jill on Marketbar.

The place wan't that cosy, i hated low table with chair higher than the table. They got normal dining table though but i did opted for the sofa, which really unsuitable for dining. Good for lounging but not dining. My bad choice.

We ordered Fried dory with Jill's homemade sauce with mash potato and Vietnamese baguette with potato wedges. Despite good services (the waitress did a good job in timely service, polite, fun, and overall helpful), i found the taste of the food wasn't really up for our palette.

They got "Belly filler" on the menu that made us were expecting for something in moderately big size. And it did surprised us when it turn out smaller than our expectation. It ain't big, though enough for one person. But i won't say belly filler, because certainly it's not that fulfilling. But to be fair, at that point we were very hungry. One thing that i also found weird is that on the menu they wrote that Dorry fish with Jill's homemade sauce is great to be eaten with briani rice. But briani rice aren't included in the side dish choices for the fish. The reason is because the briani rice is in different price range from other side dish but when you saw them on the menu, they are all 15k. You still can order the briani rice separately though, which is what we did.

The deep fried dory with Jills homemade sauce which was actually mango salad with sweet chilly sauce dressing and mash potato was a ok. I quite like them. The fish, albeit they should make it much more crispier than that, with the mango salad and sweet chilly sauce dressing was quite delectable. The mash potato has a hint of sour taste, which for me as a fan of sour taste food, that is a good surprise for me. It was perfectly seasoned as well.

On the other hand the Vietnamese baguette was a wreck, it was nothing like Vietnamese roll. The bread is pretty good for me, but Mimitsu said it was hard for her to chew but that to be expected from a baguette i say XD But the combination of the sauce that they spread on the bread, with the pickle and beef was somewhat weird. It's salty-sourish in unpleasant kinda way. I'd prefer to eat the bread only without anything in it. It was disappointing.

The briani rice is pretty ok. I have never eat briani rice before, so I can't say if the taste was spot on or not, but it taste like nasi uduk but just more flavourful and has stronger taste.

For the drink we has peppermint mocha latte and ice passion fruit tea. The peppermint mocha latte taste similar to s*bucks one but just with stronger coffee (which explain my alertness at this time --> weak coffee drinker XD). Since that was my fav coffee, I'm pretty much enjoy them. The Ice passion fruit tea has a dollop of passion fruit in it and it did taste very fruity, but that's all nothing out of ordinary with that one.

The pricing start from 30k-150k. The drink start from 15k and they do serve alcoholic drinks. For that taste and that amount of food, i think it was overly expensive. I'd rather eat at other restaurant for that pricing and have something fulfilling to the belly. Also when you pay, please do asked if they had promotion. I was happy i asked because it turn out they giving out discount for the G Card holder (Grand Indonesia member card) ;)
